Tetrahydrocannabivarin — a cannabinoid that occurs naturally in the hemp plant. It's structurally similar to Delta-9 THC but still a little different. It's found only in trace amounts, which makes it rare and expensive to isolate, and it's only recently become available at a scale that makes a beverage possible.

That's the reputation, and it's part of why we built an aperitivo rather than a nightcap. But it still contains 5mg of THC and it's still intoxicating — treat it accordingly, whatever time it is.

Because we wanted this one clear rather than soft. CBD rounds the edges of THC — great in a soda, less suited to an aperitivo, where the evening is still ahead of you. THCV works on the same receptor system from the opposite direction. In a small controlled human trial, people taking THCV alongside THC reported feeling less heavily intoxicated than from THC alone. That's the pairing we built this can around.

People often describe THCV-forward products as clearer and more sociable than THC on its own — awake rather than heavy. But responses vary a lot from person to person, and THCV is far less studied than THC or CBD. Some people notice the difference distinctly; others don't notice much. We'd rather you find your own read on it than take ours.
