How it all began

Green Monké was born out of a simple wish: to enjoy a flavorful, feel-good drink at the end of the day—without sacrificing tomorrow. That wish turned into reality in 2019, when founders Pat Gleeson and Jen Lockwood, two longtime friends and middle-aged parents, discovered a delicious CBD drink made by the Green Monkey team in the UK.

That original spark inspired a North American Monké-evolution. Originally crafted as a chill alternative to Red Bull, the UK’s Green Monkey CBD drink became the blueprint for something bigger: a THC cannabis soda that tasted amazing, felt balanced, and brought people together.

Today, we’ve brought that to life, infusing our drinks with Green Monké’s signature 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD for a mellow, social buzz that feels more like a vibe than a high.

Award-winning taste, crafted for real life

Green Monké was never meant to be just another THC drink. When Pat and Jen started working on the North American version, the journey was guided by two non-negotiables: it had to taste amazing, and it had to be better for you. 

So they teamed up with their beverage mentor and began formulating a drink that flipped the script. Gone were the overly sugary seltzers and flavorless zero-calorie waters. In their place? 

A bold new kind of buzz: vibrant, tropical sodas made with clean ingredients, nostalgic flavors, and a perfectly balanced dose of THC and CBD to give people an alcohol alternative they would crave.

Widely available, easy to love

Green Monké is on shelves across North America and today is available in over 12 states and counting! 

We knew our real community was out there — adults looking for a healthier, happier alternative to beer, wine, or hard seltzer. So we partnered with beer and liquor distributors to place Green Monké in retail spots like Total Wines and even your favorite restaurants, all so we can show up for the moments where friends gather, celebrate, and chill.

In the last few years, we’ve built partnerships with venues like Enmarket Arena and Pabst Theatre Group, where Green Monké fuels good vibes at live shows across the U.S.

Because when you put Green Monké next to a glass of Pinot Grigio or a craft beer, you realize it’s not just a cannabis drink — it’s a better drink. The results? More dancing, more laughing — and zero hangovers.

We also made a conscious choice to package Green Monké in aluminum cans— the most recyclable material — and committed ourselves to sustainable operations from the start.
